CAP Database (CAPDB)
CAPDB tracks information related to CAP sites.
To the public CAPDB offers a centralized system to search for CAP sites within Manitoba. People looking for a site within a particular geographic region or with a particular restriction, like being open on Sunday can do so. Sites located within Winnipeg are Geocoded and plotted on a map, allowing people to find sites visually.
To staff of Community Connections and related organizations CAPDB is the primary interface for maintaining information on CAP sites. More sophisticated searches are available, like searching on CAPID or file code. Information on different technical and administrative contacts for sites is kept. Maintaining information on grants given as well as hardware is also stored.
Pre-created reports are available. New reports representing different data sets can be created by contacting the developers. An Email Sender utility allows mail to be sent to any subsection of contacts stored in the database.
Currently Manitoba is the only member of the PNR to store site information in CAPDB. If your group would like to add your sites to CAPDB please contact Clarice Leader at cleader@mb.e-association.ca
